Its all basically fine. Its not perfect horror or deep horror and its frankly kind of frustrating horror. Lots of unclear direction and where to progress, lots of dying, and not a perfect translation.

The main enemy chasing you through the halls is one of the most irritating Mr. X types I've ever seen. No way to avoid or dodge her, no way to survive more than two hits and hiding from her doesn't ensure that she won't just return to blocking the path. So sometimes you just eat a hit and hope you get lucky to escape to the next area. You often aren't. I eventually had to abandon my attempt to get a true ending, since there was no way to complete the last task necessary without getting killed and backtracking back through the whole level again.

Still, in spite of those problems, its basically fine. Some incredible animation work and I'm still interested in the story enough to give the sequel a try at some point. I don't know if I'd rec it to just anyone, but if you're craving really any kind of horror and you've seen all the famous indie highlights, you could do worse.
