First of all, I want to agree that this game is a masterpiece. It did a lot of outstanding things like the champions and their abilities and having an open world without the restrictions of past Zelda games (and the music and atmosphere are top notch), but after re-evaluating my stance on it, I came to the conclusion it's kind of flawed.

The biggest issue with this game is that the exploration gets repetitive which is the fault of the game re-using a lot of content later on. Mainly with the shrines and enemies. Most of the gameplay loop amounts to: look for shrines -> explore a large grounded field -> look for shrines -> explore a large grounded field which wouldn't be bad if the exploration had more to it aside from gathering rupees and materials which the game showers you with. The korok seeds just aren't enough to elevate the game world's exploration in my opinion. It kinds becomes tiresome. It's still a great game but after playing Tears of the Kingdom it just feels kinda barren.

THAT BEING SAID

I still really like this game for a lot memorable things it did. From climbing and walking a path to the Zora's domain and defeating bokoblins and moblins in your way to solving a bunch of cool overworld puzzles like the mazes to unlock a shrine to riding minecarts over lava in the Goron region using stasis will always be standout moments I'll never forget. This game has a lot of these little moments that makes the game come together despite its flawed exploration. The divine beasts, while kind of unmemorable and NOT at all a replacement for traditional dungeons have such an amazing build-up to them. It's another example of another memorable little moment that Breath of the Wild has. Breath of the Wild will always be a divisive turning point but one that has a lot things you can't get anywhere else.
