The half frame rate is noticible and I won't lie: it doesn't feel as snappy as hell because of it. Dialogue speed isn't an issue since I can be a real slow reader at the times, but for fast reader it can be slightly tedious.

Beside that: this is a mr. remake alright in every way you can see it and hear it: graphics and soundtracks are completely new for the occasion, don't listen to those idiots that treat this like it's a 60 dollars cash-grab low-effort remaster, because that's bullshit.

@Nickakyoin I really don't know why framerate matters in a turn based rpg for people. If they had this remake run at an uncapped 60 like SMRPG people would've bitched about it being unstable especially with messing up the timing of attacks and guards. The halved framerate was a massive sacrifice for what they wanted to do with the visuals and it shows.

@WaffulSyrup It's as you just (partially) said: all Mario RPGs have timing/action mechanics, making them more than just mere turn based RPG. And this isn't an exception. The 60fps helps really a lot the eyes on it.

In any case I'm glad for the decision because the game looks incredible and gorgeous. Otherwise we would have probably got a 60 dollars (or maybe 50 if Nintendo felt generous) remaster and nothing more.

@Nickakyoin Nah yeah I agree with you. In a perfect world the remake would run at 60fps on console alongside being as good as it looks but this world ain't perfect lmfao. I'm glad we got what we got because the last thing I wanted to see this game get is an upscaled port like Sunshine did for 3D All Stars.
