If you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss will start to stare into you too

Subnautica is a marvelous underwater world, abundantly filled with a variety of flora and fauna in which the player, overcoming himself, descends deeper and deeper into the abyss to unravel the mysteries of the planet 4546B.

The main thing is not to drown

Basically, from the gameplay point of view Subnautica is a regular survival game.
You will have to provide yourself with food and fresh water, as well as not to suffocate from lack of oxygen. In this you can help you with a variety of transport: from a simple glider to an entire submarine, as well as tools necessary for exploring the world, resource extraction and self-defense. It is also necessary to build a base for storing resources and resting after long journeys.

The only thing I didn't like in terms of survival was the presence of thirst and hunger indicators in the game. As far as I am concerned, their presence only hinders the exploration of the world. And as far as I know initially they were not there, but fans of the game wished the developers to add them.

Are you sure it's not a horror game?

All this is complicated by the fact that to extract rare resources you will need to dive to great depths, where you will no longer see small cute fish. Something sinister will be waiting for you there. Something that just seeing you with all his might will try to tear into small pieces and eat your remains. I hope I didn't scare you.)

That's the beauty of Subnautica. The atmosphere of the game is incredible. Sometimes even from one look into the abyss, where not a single ray of light seeps in and in which you can't see the bottom, your soul simply leaves your body. Not to mention the monsters living in this abyss.

This fear of depth is also reinforced by the great soundtrack and audio effects (mostly I mean the roar of a giant creature somewhere in the distance), as well as the visuals. Especially the uniqueness of each biome. Here you were on a safe reef with dozens of harmless fish swimming around, and now you're in a forest of algae, everything is green and you can already feel someone snapping his jaw.

There's obviously something wrong with this planet

The plot of the game at first is quite simple: there is a shipwreck and the only task now is to survive. But the further the player explores the world, the more secrets are revealed to him: about the planet itself, about the corporation "Alterra". At this point you realize that you are not just another "survival game", but a game with a well-developed world and full of secrets that are just waiting for the brave member of the crew of the "Aurora" to solve them.

You won't find a better underwater adventure!

I highly recommend "diving" into this atmospheric and mysterious world of Subnautica to figure it all out on your own and earn yourself a fear of depth!

Technical problems I encountered

Of course technically the game is not perfect and has bugs on board. I mostly encountered a number of graphical bugs, but I think they are caused by my iron and not the game itself. Otherwise everything was fine, except for one very unpleasant bug: my Crab suit fell under the textures.
