I don’t own Splatoon 3 yet, but I’ve really felt like playing Splatoon recently so i figured I’d finally go back and finish the story for Splatoon 2. And now that I’ve finished said story mode i can successfully say that Splatoon 2 is just as good as, if not better than its predecessor. The story mode was extremely fun, it had fantastic level design, fun boss fights, banger music, and a great story. The turf wars were also extremely fun, and felt much better than they did in Splatoon 1. I never played too much Salmon Run, but I do remember having fun with it. Overall, I genuinely believe the Splatoon franchise is easily Nintendo’s best modern IP, and i’m very excited to finally play the Octo Expansion and then Splatoon 3.
