It's so damn pretty and the light mechanic is neat, but not really sure what else this brings to the table? Inside and Limbo felt like they built intentionally cryptic worlds that you're gradually piecing together through every environment you traverse and set piece you witness. Somerville just sort of starts and ends. You walk around and see some post-apocalyptic alien invasion stuff and the story doesn't really progress much from there. Definitely novel ideas here, but the more transparent narrative and lack of real puzzles robs this of its personality. Plus, they did exactly what Little Nightmares did with this format. They were like "LET'S MAKE THIS ONE 3D", and proceeded to create another game where depth perception rises like The Undertaker and chokeslams you into hell every time you have to perform a manoeuvre.
