A pretty good Ace Attorney game, but not the 5/5 it's made out to be. Juuuuust a 4.5. Because it's still incredibly good.

First case is great for setting up the rest of the story, and using a new character is a much better way to add in tutorial elements without it feeling incredibly forced. It helps Mia is fun here too.

Second Case is good fun but it's all carried by Atmey. Who is a great villain but is the driving force of eveerything. Godot is introduced here and has a great theme and design but as a prosecutor is just alright. The coffee gag isn't as tiring as the whip, but he throws a lot of cups at Wright per trial.

Third case is a leftover of JFA and it shows. Furio is funny at least but it is long, and this would have still been the second best case of JFA, but for now it's an entertaining ride, and Furio outing himself by falling for a total bluff is nothing short of hilarious.

The 4th is also fantastic and turns the villain of the first case, Dahlia, up to 11. It's fantastic. She does everything and gets away with a smile, until she is caught and demonstrates the demon she really is inside. Fantastic fantastic villain.

5th case and ding dong Godot isn't all that fantastic a villain, and everything that happens is absurdly convoluted. To try and recall, I think Misty channels Dahlia to stop Pearls from channeling her since Godot intercepted Morgan's letter. The whole case tries to paint Godot as sympathetic but at the end of the day it was his own revenge obsession wanting to kill Dahlia again and get back at Wright for Mia's death (which I should note, the unintentional localization name of Redd White is brilliant given Godot's disability and if it was intentional a million props.) that makes Godot a small brain at the end of the day. It's still very good (and a solid conclusion to the OG Trilogy) but certainly not Best Case in the series material.

I still enjoy the simpler story of 1 more, but 3 is still great.
