Really fun until world 5 until some segments really put the difficulty into overdrive, but even at this it never feels completely unfair just mostly unfair. The bulk of the game is absolutely manageable though and even in the final rush the game gives you a lot to work with if you look hard enough. Final Boss is 100% all the trappings of its era though and needed more polish.

But the rest of the game? Really fun, even ahead of its time in areas. Chaining bonks together is really fun, and resuming right where you died really wasn't something platformers from this time did that often. The art's cute, characters very expressive, and the music's good too. I do hope the sequels fixed up this game's few misgivings, because while the final boss and parts of the final world soured things, it was still a really fun experience!
