And then eeXceed became an Ikaruga clone. Its not bad just some clunky stage design can make the two bullet types overlap in unintended ways leading to undodgable situations, but it's rare. Bosses are much better put together (we have audio cues now!) for the most part and generally fun. I got a 3CC which isn't great but it's something and more than I should've given this one. At least learning it felt nice, and I enjoyed who they chose to be the bosses this time.
It also has Rank, which I don't think is a very good system in general as it's basically saying "hey you're doing well? Okay well we're gonna make the game harder mid-attack so you stop doing that." or "You died? No you're not getting another chance to learn this go to a lower difficulty" which is all around not good design.
