Dang I hadn't realized the original game came out in 2005 before I saw this page but yeah it checks out. Doesn't make this game anything less than great however.
For such a revolutionary rhythm game it lacks the polish and experience in design of its successors (as well as the poor choice of starting to load a song after the opening story ends meaning you gotta wait), as well as less tracks and less off the walls bonkers than its sequels, but it still has plenty to enjoy and is still a must play rhythm game even with a few bs spinner placements that got ironed out later.
While yes EBA and Ouendan 2 are still better games than Ouendan, they wouldn't have existed as they are without this game to set them up for success in the first place. Ouendan walked so EBA and Ouendan 2 could run, but Ouendan's sitll got a solid power walk. All S Ranks earned/10
