It's got good aesthetics and music, but not the making of a good puzzle game like Puyo Puyo. It's closer to Wario's Woods with manual control, if anything. I love the little pictures of Bomberman in each match and the whole 16 bit is peak comfy, but the BGM can be too loud and cancel out the sound effects at times. The World Tour concept is a fun cheeky little 90s world tour with everyone being stereotyped.

As for the puzzle game flaws, there are a lot of random party game elements to it that you can inflict on your opponents that don't matter to them but matter a ton when inflicted on you, like obscuring your vision or reversing your controls, that can be a death sentence. Bombs rising up from the bottom rather than falling from the top can ruin whatever combos you're going for. These are all in the original Panic Bomber I believe, but they're still here so I'm still talking about them.

Is this one I'll be playing a lot? nah it pales in comparison to Puyo Puyo, Panel de Pon, Dr. Mario, etc. Is it one worth playing once? Yeah sure it's neat.
