Daughters of Ash is a solid attempt to polish up some of the issues in the original Dark Souls experience and it mostly succeeds in that regard. While it doesn't throw out bad ideas like the Bed of Chaos or Lost Izalith as a whole, it definitely takes steps in the right direction to improve upon things that felt rushed in the original game. For someone who had played Dark Souls several times, there were many surprises that really caught me off guard in a good way. It feels a bit samey to the OG in some areas so it's not a complete overhaul, but it's a nice way to mix up the route you take through Lordran if you ever just wanna replay this game.
