I mean this with 100% sincerity and in a way that is not meant to sound reductive.
The story/dialogue quite literally ruin this whole game for me. When the dialogue isn't constantly in your face it's a decent, fun shooter with some cool ideas. At points it's almost enjoyable. But the fucking justin roiland reddit-ass dialogue that impedes on the gameplay AND exploration just makes the experience of playing this game an actual nightmare. It's like trying to babysit a kid who watches fucking dream. The core gameplay, art design, and soundtrack are good enough to keep this from being a truly worthless experience, but it was an absolutely painful one for sure.
