This game made me fall in love with Contra style sidescrollers, which I previously detested. The gameplay is tight, the art style is probably the pinnacle of 30's style cartoons, and the music is insanely catchy. The only knock against Cuphead is the non boss fight levels aren't as good as the boss levels
