I gotta say, I enjoyed this game more than the first one. Great gameplay, very beautiful environments to explore, actual good melee combat etc. Really gotta compliment the soundtrack too. It's really great!

But storywise, in my opinion, no. It just didn't stick with me at all. I got bored really easily. I'd just aimlessly walk around the map, not knowing what to do or where to go. Cause the map is huge. But to be honest, I had this problem with the first game too. Especially with the endings. This ending felt very underwhelming and abrupt. The way it ended felt like they're setting it up for another game. Which I'm really not looking forward to.

But if they do decide to go for it, please for the love of god, stop having Aloy comment on every single little thing going on. It drove me nuts sometimes.

Overal, getting the platinum for this game was very fun. Just like it was for the ZD, but way easier. But I'm sad to say, that's all really. If Guerillla ever plans on making another Horizon game, I think I will pass.

(Spoilers) While I was really into the story (this kind of sci-fi is just my thing and I love Aloy's sass), I also thought the ending was abrupt and not handled right. Introducing a bigger threat for the 3rd game that's some vague collective Zenith memories AI thing isn't as interesting as the Zeniths themselves. I would've been okay with this game ending the series's story and having no 3rd game. But I really love the gameplay and story of these games, so I'll no doubt play it, but I won't be as excited as I was for this. Zero Dawn teased the Zeniths without confirming anything which left it open to speculation, and Forbidden West just tells you that Nemesis is coming which is a whole lot less interesting.
