the Dreamcast also has an evangelion-themed Princess Maker clone that comes with an evangelion-themed mouse and a evangelion-themed mousepad. People should start playing some Quake 3 with it.

@Reddish you should probably watch the show first. It's kinda disrespectful to be playing a silly game based on it when you don't understand the source material. It'd probably be fine for another show but evangelion is a very emotionally resonant work, one that I think everyone should see at least once. Or it's just me being an asshole

@HylianBran well yea, that's why I shelved it for the time being, show was an inside joke with my oomfs and I played a bit just to be funny. I'll get to the show eventually but I'm booked with shows like Sailor Moon rn lmao

@Reddish sorry, this is just a very important, like, thing, to me. I saw it at a very difficult time in my life and I don't think I've ever so directly connected with a work of art like I did with evangelion. There's so many things that seem like they were specifically made for me at that time, almost as if I was making it. It's a deeply potent piece so it just seems kinda weird to play silly video games based on it before you've even seen the show. It's a personal thing

@HylianBran yeah i get that, similar situation for me in the case of the anime Toradora, means alot to me despite it's shortcomings. Like if someone tried playing the shitty spinoff vn of this game before reading the LN or watching the anime I'd also be moderately miffed

Toradora VN one of the craziest shits ever, some of the CGs seem directly made to bewilder or anger people and I can't tell if I respect that or not

Also yea watch the Eva anime and the EoE movie when you have time to do so, I watched those and the Rebuilds earlier in the year and I kinda needed it

@Reddish there's also a wonderful Evangelion minigame collection for DS. And by "minigame collection" I mean there's like three minigames it repeats for an entire game's length. My save file was corrupted on Twilightmenu and coincidentally my 3ds stopped working the next day. Hmm...

@BlazingWaters i like, almost went insane trying to play the toradora vn holy shit. i played for a straight three hours and accidentally locked myself into the worst ending twice because of one minor choice i made, and when i learned about that i quit. i was so angry. as someone who has such a strong connection to the anime it was such a letdown and just feels like a bad fanfic, i REALLY wanted to finish it for the funny™ but i just didn't have it in me. apparently the same devs also made a psp vn for haruhi suzumiya which i was interested in playing but it crashed my psp after playing for 10 minutes and i don't know if that was a good omen or not
