I really despised this games approach to throwing massive amounts of enemies at you only to make the game more tedious, rather than create a fun challenge. I felt more strongly about this early on and it wasn't as glaring of an issue the more I progressed.

If nothing else, SotFS is totally worth it for the DLC, especially Crown of Old Iron King. It contains arguably two of the best bosses you will fight in the Souls series.
