It's insane the way this game is overrated in story and characters departments.
Guys there isn't any storyline at all in this game after the first 10 minutes. You must only travel from a city to another to gain power up in order the defeat final boss, that's it. There isn't a single plot twist in the game (well maybe except the next-door neighbour became a sort of comic villain)
Characters are wost then story.....4 souless mute avatar. In all the adventure speaks 3 repetitive sentence in four. It's almost comical.
We are in the same level of final fantasy 1 characters for nes.
Why in the earth people say the characters are great????? Tell me. For the Npcs? For some random funny dialogues with the Npcs?? Incredible. Hell remake this with 2d-hd graphics and add a (vital) talk command like a dragon quest series and this game will be 200% improved
