Well, I'm once again proven wrong in my thought that there are entire genres within video games that I dislike.

I never really got in to roguelike(/rougelite) games mostly because I have negative patience and am the type of person that once they die in one specific spot in a game, I rush through all the previous parts to get back there but my rushed gameplay is sloppy and ends up punishing me, but Hades enticed me with word of it's narrative and my love of mythology and folklore.

I'm glad I gave it a chance because Hades is a fucking delight. I get the feeling that this is probably seen as quite easy in terms of the larger roguelike fandom, as there were definitely escapes I had that felt so cheesy but the gameplay is addictive for real.

Hades also does great with incentivizing it's player to switch up their playstyle with in-game incentives, and having now cleared the game with all the weapons and many different builds I can confidently say that all of them feel at least somewhat viable even if there are definitely aspects I favor (Pierced Butterfly/Shield of Aegis/Athena/Poseidon).

I've cleared the game a dozen times now, but I don't reckon I'm even close to being finished playing this game. Can't wait for the sequel now.
