I mean it's Mario 64. Its THE 3D platformer. It's incredibly innovative to video games in general, and for being one of the first of its kind, Nintendo hit it out of the ball park. Nothing in its genre could really compete with this game back then, and I still think very few 3D platformers can compete with it today. Super Mario 64 is one of those games that just never gets old and will always be a classic. Sure it's far from perfect, but I adore this game just like many others just because of how fun it is. That's why its my personal favorite game of all time.
