Nintendo's magnum opus

Mario has always been my favorite game franchise, I mean it's Mario. No matter what Mario game you play you're going to at least have a fun time. But Super Mario Galaxy (and Galaxy 2 for that matter) take it up a bunch of notches, with Nintendo showing us the true potential of Super Mario. Everything about this game is wonderfully perfect, the controls, the orchestrated soundtrack, the atmosphere, and the super unique galaxy design. This game even has a pretty interesting story which is very different from Mario. Simply put it, Super Mario Galaxy was special, few, if any games match the quality and creativity and game design of these two games.
