Super Mario Land 2 is a big improvement over its predecessor and makes better use of the Game Boy hardware providing improved graphics and gameplay. This is one of the staple original Game Boy games thanks to its fun and easy pick-up-and-play nature of the game.

As a whole, this is a more ambitious game with more levels and more involved level designs that are on the simpler side of things when compared to modern Mario games but were very good for the time this game was released.
