I have to agree with you. Although I'm only 2 worlds into Odyssey, it's easily one of the most polished and creative Mario games to date. In all honesty, if you want another appetizer while you wait for the next big 3D Mario, play Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. I'm confident you will enjoy the game and its more compact level design.
