Wrapped up 100% of What the Bat?. Played on PSVR2, around 3 hours. I’ve been trying to get back into PSVR2 lately, and finally broke through when I got prescription lens inserts and a usb-c cable extension that allows me to play in an open area in my room now. It feels much easier to pickup and play now and I’ve been dabbling in several games.

What the Bat? continues the spirit of the previous What the ___? games (Golf, Car). It’s meant to be silly and fun and light hearted and I think it succeeded. The premise is absurd, but clicks well and the levity of seeing this bat-armed person grow up from a toddler to an adult and going through phases is hilarious.

Only real complaint is the levels felt a little samey after a while. There’d be a very simple first level to introduce a new concept. Then a more complex one. Then as complex as they can. Then a silly version. Then move on. It felt like they were running out of ideas at times, and somewhat reusing ideas or mechanics in mildly different settings.

Still, it’s fun and charming and worth trying. Supposedly they were going to add more levels, but it’s been out for a year and I don’t think they’ve added anything. Maybe eventually.
