people talk about this game like it's some groundbreaking, breathtaking, wonderful pinnacle of video games and i really wish i understood that. this game feels really nice to move around in, its visuals are really appealing and its score is pretty cute. but there's not much of a real narrative (or writing at all), no memorable characters, no cool side-quests, no dungeons, a pitiful lack of enemy variety + almost no bosses, and nothing that made exploring feel worthwhile. most of it feels like filler check-list fluff (towers, shrines, koroks). the world is well-designed but there's not much substance inside of it beyond its sandbox elements. i genuinely feel like, insane for not liking this the way people talk about it but i just do not see it personally. it's just okay!

oh but it isn't empty, sometimes there are rooms where you fight one enemy and there's like the one goblin all around that's fun right

People in the comments upset that people don't like their "flawless masterpiece" but op is dead on. The game is empty, copy pasta. It isn't the best zelda game, let alone the best open world game. This game is like baby's first open world game. If you like it, great, but overlooking it's many glaring flaws and treating it like the greatest game of all time need to play more video games.

Well the game is about your materials your gathering, them holding up and their durability and juggling that while encountering enemies-it's not straight up enemy variety. That's over simplification. It's about scrounging and there's also cooking and finding ingredients which you failed to mention. I don't think you understood what you signed up for which is okay

i am aware of those things they just also are not interesting 2 me. i am not entranced by the possibility of cooking up passive timed buffs to cold resistance or engaging with durability management when fighting isn't rewarding or fun on its face, partially due to a lack of enemy variety. i think u failed to understand that i am an X-Treme gamer, like a wizard of sorts. and my wicked spells? you'd best not be on the brunt of my Dark Casts, knave...
