about half of the game is essentially mandatory side stories with the morning glory orphans but kiryu’s characterization is very good in this one and the villain is pretty good! the enemies blocking isn’t a problem once you get a decent moveset but for that first few hours it’s pretty damn painful. Not as bad as people make it out to be but its undeniably flawed

The definition of feature bloat, but man I love more features
I love all the extra characters, costumes, mutations, game modes, weapons, everything. However; it definitely removes a lot of the wonderful simplicity of the original. The power creep also goes both ways where you have a lot of easier ways to deal with enemies now, but a lot of the new enemies are really annoying or tanky or deadly. I think this mod pack is a requirement for anyone that loves the original, but the weird balancing and hint of jank and lower quality spread throughout this mod pack makes it so I can’t give this a 5 star in good faith
