Utterly pointless to me. Like whatever, its a current way to play it sure I guess. The main way I saw it being worst was the decision to make the Ishimura all one place and not disconnected leading to them having reasons to go back by security clearances. I'm not fucking going back to to older zones to open lockers bro I dont care.

Overall I think I just dislike extremely faithful remakes because I almost never enjoy the remake visuals more and would prefer them to get crazy with it.

agree tenfold on that last sentence. i don't get the point of trying to fix what another team of creatives built and clearly did a good job with. RE2make is the gold standard for this kinda thing imo because it's its own spin of the concept and not some halfhearted attempt to "objectively" improve what isn't broken. this and that upcoming persona 3 remake among others are all just like... why?

just to make money i guess, but still

(i say this with sotc 2018 in my favorites but i swear i just want hard mode unlocked initially and for the game to run at a stable framerate)
