Is it weird to say that this is my favorite 3D Mario even with how amazing Galaxy 2 and Odyssey are? The gameplay is phenomenal, I love the atmosphere, and it introduces my favorite Mario character with Rosalina! Her storybook is wonderful and absolutely helps elevate this game for me along with how epic this Mario game feel at moments and the obvious nostalgia. Even putting that aside this is an absolute masterpiece of a game!

Very fair I think, the gravity physics and star transport 'money shots' really add an orchestral charm and in contrast to a lot of other people I think the Hubworld in this one is my favorite. I prefer even older mainline mario titles than this, primarily Sunshine and 64 for the large sense of movement control in both. However, Galaxy floats strong. If you prefer this you'll be in for a treat with 3D World if you ever get around to it!
