Incredibly weird and ambitious but also kind of a disaster. Really a shame AAA games don't swing as big and miss as hard as this one did anymore. Its reach exceeds its grasp to an extreme degree, but I respect the effort. The climbing and the setting and the actual assassination segments are really cool but nearly everything else is mixed to bad. The present day stuff with Desmond is a lot better than I remember it being when first played it at launch.
