One of the best rpgs on steam

Everything about this game is filled with charm and character. The deeply flawed and human protagonist, the overall flaws of everyone in the main cast. It is heart wrenching exploration into the cycle of familial abuse, and the further issues stemming from it, and it does so almost perfectly. (There are a few instances where its not tackled as well, on top of other topics)
Gameplay wise it is also fairly solid, offering a slew of options for party comps and allowing for any number of strategies, on top of eliminating any need for grinding at all.
The concept of pain mode is also a very interesting and solid way of doing a difficulty setting that isn’t just inflating enemy stats and/or reducing exp.
A strong recommendation for anyone looking to play a short little rpg (about 4 hours), though its not one for the faint of heart.
