Not as great as people say it is, it's a solid 7 imo. Repeated boss fights can be a bit annoying, but the gameplay was fun at least.

Agreed! Was like a 6 for me.
I agree that this game is a little overrated but... Wouldn't a 3.5/5 count as a 7?
I'm not used to scoring with stars, apologies.
I think it's a good game, only reason I abandoned it is because of my own fault on the last level. Didn't play a role in my scoring, but just wanted to add that. After playing DMC 3, I'm willing to go back after I play the others.
