I've been playing Street Fighter since I was a kid, my first game being Street Fighter II. I played a small bit of SFIV in 2018 long after that game's playerbase mostly died off and played only 2 hours of SFV prior to this game's release. Although I don't consider myself to be a huge Street Fighter fan let-alone competent at any fighting game, I can't deny that Street Fighter 6 is a absolutely solid entry. Good games with zero strings attached are extremely rare in today's AAA modern gaming climate.

My two main reasons for giving it 4 stars and not 5 however, is because there's no option to play against specific types of players, like playing against Modern control players only, or Classic control players only. The frustration of sweating out an entire combo only to lose the match because your opponent pressed a single face-button is immeasurable.

My other issue is more of a me-problem however. Now maybe it's my fault for thinking that getting the PC version was a good idea, but despite having PC specs above the minimum requirements listed on Steam; I can't play this game without getting nervous about melting my PC's CPU and motherboard. So I stick to playing World Tour mode on my Steam Deck.
