This was something I came to after my 400 followers thing with Castlevania, wanting to go back to obscure and short retro games to go through my backlog a lot quicker and get more done.

Brutal: Paws of Fury is your typical tournement fighter, however, there are many issues I have with it too in regards to the controls and design.

Now the art is amazing, especially for the Fox character named Foxy, but that's about where the best parts of it end as the game has a random difficulty spike and you learn moves after every battle. Without a manual, I can't tell if they were all in there beforehand, but after every match you are shown and given the chance to master a move, but the controls were a little stiff and made it a difficult game to play at times.

After this, something that I feel broke the difficulty of the game is that you have a move that acts as a kind of taunt, however, all it does it heals up you! With rocky, it meant slapping her ass at her opponent. Normally, you don't heal yourself in a fighting game, so the inclusion here felt strange, but it was also fairly difficult anyway.

I can't recommend this game, beyond the sexy fox lady in it!
