I have to go on record and start by saying that this is not a game for adults. It seems in my opinion to be that someone at Ubisoft figured it would be fun to make Assassins Creed: Odyssey for kids. This makes sense when you consider the way in which it leans into a more cartoonish style (trying its very hardest to emulate Fortnite, in my opinion) and its groan-worthy, Marvel-movie-ass dialogue. It's combat has a touch of Dark Souls, and it's world interaction has a touch of Breath of the Wild, but it never felt to me worth putting in more than a few hours. I'm willing to concede the game is well made, but I'm not the type of person it was made for, nor am I willing to spend more time with it than I have.
