It is the same game as other Miazaki's productions. If you like it, then play Elden. If you don't, then do not play Elden.

Elden Ring has a better tutorial than the other souls. Yay! It is enough ? It certainly isn't.
"Elden Ring is the most accessible of all Souls". True, but dishonest. The open world structure allows you to painfully explore what you can (which is determined by the type of enemies you encounter) instead of smashing you head over and over on the same stupidly hard boss (because both uncorrelated with the main experience of the game, which are exploration and xp managment, and stupidly over leveled stat wise). That is to say the open world gives you a little more of the "fun" soul and delays the "unfun" soul a bit. But here's the catch : the unfun soul isn't deleted, it is only delayed. Consequently, after Margit, at Stormveil, the game decides to become the worst parts of Darksouls' exploration, taking your horse (which is a powerful cheese tool) away, and giving you the choice between getting ambushed in dark tiny rooms by way too powerful enemies or simply running towards an entire castle full of ballistas and giant lions. At this point if it wasn't sooner (it was sooner, I am a very patient guy with everything except my sister and Souls games) the game loses the last atoms of fun it may contain. This is where I quit. I absolutely do not regret it.

I don't recomand unless you know you'll like it because you know you like cryptic-esoteric-JRPG (more commonly called Souls-like), in which case this comment is absolutely useless for you. I am scincerely delighted you were able to see the magic in this game I absolutely never saw (neither did I in tha other Souls game I played), and I hope you enjoyed it the best you can.

Love.
