Where do I start ?
I don't like reading. I am not very good at puzzle games.
Yet, PWAA is certainly one of the best game I ever played. If you see it from afar, you might think it's all about narration. It isn't. PWAA is all about gameplay. Everything leads to your decision (or the illusion your given to take decisions, as in every game). The First Time User Experience is a masterclass of game design. Texts contain infomation you have to memorize, compare, gather and organize. This is what you constantly do in PWAA, as well as other great "narrative" games like Obra Dinn for instance. This feeling of understanding something, mastering it, then either finally taking the advantage or being surprised by an unnanouced new element you have to deal with is very engaging and very well paced. In my experience of videogames, it is unique : I've never felt this with any other game.

Well written stories and characters are just the cherry on the top. But what a cherry!

Funny thing, I found it is impossible to play PWAA while being exhausted. You must be concentrated playing this. I was able to play this after work, but I usually stopped playing after lunch because I wasn't able to understand what I was supposed to understand ^^.
