While not a fantastic swan song to the Neversoft era, Proving Ground is, for the most part, a solid game and a good improvement over Project 8. Some of the new mechanics may be useless, but at least the game functions and plays well. Also the soundtrack really bops hard. Honestly, one of the best soundtracks in the entire series.
