I was on a "pixel game? naaah" mode for a few years after Stardew Valley. This one made me like it again. It varies more chillaxing elements,, with (optional) time based ones, fighting and relationship building. Lots of story parts! Even after I finished the main storyline. So I could spend a full day extra playing it post storyline, and I still haven't completed everything. It's just great!
*note I am still not obsessed with pixel modes since I love how the technology advanced this this was the ONLY option for games.

Waiting for friends to pick it up. It is way more fun with friends. I get a bit confused in some quests with not so clear instructions/changes between updates. But it's lovely, you can plant flowers across the entire Valley and see it transform. I can't wait for a friend to pick it up. Lovely music too.

4.5 stars. If they had scaled the game from side things to "earn tokens" more I would probably have scored it higher. GOOSEBUMPS for these cutscenes and how they arranged some of the typical songs.
Played with the Deluxe Edition so Prince of Persia stuff all way through basically.
Main story complete.

Yikes? I don't know who reviewed this game to make it "critically acclaimed", but the animations does for the most of the time line up with how you "run" with the controller. There are sudden super short bursts of real life video that does not make any sense. One sentence about being a woman makes you nurturing (hello? are we still in the 1600th?). Small kinda fun puzzles, but they "borked" way too much. Some "non puzzle" levels needed jumping, but due to borky controllers they were ridiculously difficult.
I finished the game, will not replay.
