Demo thoughts:
The whole card aesthetic is really cool - along with every character being represented by a card, the overworld is also made up of cards that flip over as you get near which is pretty neat (although does make it a bit slow to traverse through areas for the first time.)
The character designs are great so far, especially the playable characters available in the demo.
Story is extremely basic, but I'm assuming the full game will go much more in-depth than just "go find the royal treasure that a skeleton took", especially if Yoko Taro is working on it.
The narrator is fine, but I really wish dialogue had an auto-play option so you don't have to keep waiting for his sentences to finish before you can press A.
The card minigame you can play is fun, but I really wish there was online multiplayer with it. Maybe in the full game?
The whole gem mana system doesn't seem that important so far? You start with 2 gems every battle and you gain 1 after every single turn. There's basically nothing stopping you from just starting every single battle by using gem cards, unless future cards do cost more and more gems that requires you to actually think about what attacks you use.
The music in it was decent, with the vocal track being my favorite (even if it is less than a minute long from what I could tell).

Overall my experience with the demo was positive, but I feel like there's a few things that could bring the experience down if the full game doesn't address them. I'm hoping this is going to be another great Yoko Taro game though!
