The Great Ace Attorney is a depressingly disappointing duology. The one place I can praise this game is in its progressive use of 3D in the AA series, a feat Spirit of Justice still found itself unable to match.
However, the game fails in nearly every other area. Pacing? As you can tell from my playtimes, atrocious. Story? Passable at best, with many of the cases in this game either taking you in circles or driving you to the most unengaging mysteries on Earth. And that's not even mentioning all the times the game just doesn't make sense. This is where I'd put "Gameplay?", but being a visual novel, I can't really do that.
Its looking more and more like this series will never hit a beat as high as it did in 2004.
To get more specific about TGAA would require far more text than I'm willing to put here, so I'm seriously considering making a video about it.
