In an era without 2D Platformers, 'Splosion Man was pretty fun. It's got some spirit, and a lot of energy. To blast around the environments jumping from explosive barrel to wall to explosive barrel is pretty flashy and neat, but it's just a tad simplistic because that's all there is. The level design is very linear, and there's often only one way to do a thing. Personally, I find this a bit tiring. This game gets by on personality and verve, and as a simple little game it's pretty decent.
