I have to say i'm quite a TCG veteran at the time this came out (MTG,pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and more) and even have experience to learn trading card games in not ideal ways like the Marvel ds game for the vs system TCG , but this one game was the only time i just couldn't grasp it. Shows how bad this was in teaching someone the game. Quite a shame because from what i grasped the TCG had some rules the were unique, and i (like many others) was a fan of the anime back then.
