The last areas of the game, with ridiculous robo-zombies and similar stuff, blur the excellent atmosphere, based on center-european myths, of the first hours. This lack of consistency applies too to both the gameplay (with some too much enemy sections that not work very well with the survival horror-esque control) and graphics, with areas like Moreau's dam that are far below Beneviento's manor or Dimitrescu's castle.

Despite that, a very good and entertaining game that works better when it forgets its name and tries to be more a tribute to classic horror films than the last installment of a saga based on bio weapon experiments.
