This game had the blueprints of what could have been an instant classic, but some severe flaws dragged it down.

It started off great for the first 4 hours or so, but after a while when you have to piece everything together alone it lost a lot of steam. It was a pain to navigate through memories, without an easy way to replay events you've already traced. And there were a lot of details that I remembered, but didn't remember the scene it was shown in, so that was a pain too as I had to constantly navigate the ship to find memories and replay scenes just to go "Nope, it wasn't this one".

The ending once you've solved all the fates, in my opinion, was incredibly anticlimactic. Just a tiny room with very easily identifiable deaths, and barely any added context to the story. After so much mystery and intrigue, it basically ended in a wet fart.

Personally, I also would have enjoyed it a lot more if the story were more grounded. The first chapter you encounter with the captain sheltering himself in the cabin, and the chapter about the mutiny were much more interesting than the ones with supernatural elements.

I would suggest to play this game with a notepad and to jot down notes since the game doesn't really do it for you.
