This one was pretty fun, fair bit of a challenge but got pretty boring in the end when it was just generic battles every few steps. Played a ROM so couldn't do any of the Mogmail sidequests.

Very basic and predictable. Gets boring but it's short enough.
1988
Too frustrating to really enjoy it, didn't bother to finish and I don't feel like I'm missing anything by quitting early. I saw enough.
This was pretty great! Definitely the best of the later generations that I've played.

Best combination so far of gameplay and story. My favorite so far of the series.
It's not really a game but I guess after "playing" this The After Years might feel less boring?
Maybe would have felt less boring and dumb if I hadn't played it right after IV but damn, this felt like work. Three "chapters" in and I'm just not enjoying it at all. I turned on auto-battle and I fast-foward the rom to speed up cutscenes (why does every couple word sentence have to remain on the screen for five full seconds before you can advance?) and it still feels like a waste of time. Calling it quits, watching the rest of the story as highlights on YouTube so I at least know what happened.
