As someone who grew up with the original Xenoblade and has loved the franchise since the beginning, 3 is easily the best entry. The main cast is incredible, each having their own time to shine throughout the wonderfully written narrative. Combat has never been better with the various different classes and the ability to switch to any other character in the middle of a fight. The game isn't perfect, but god damn does it come very close. Although you don't necessarily need to play 1 and 2 to appreciate this game, it definitely hits harder if you do
