Top 3 yakuza games for me so far (haven't played 6 or LaD yet).
Story was a lot of fun with the usual twists and turns that you've come to know and (maybe) love in all the Yakuza games. Lots of things to do this time around, way more than what we've come to expect from 3 and 4 (which I personally enjoyed).
I don't know if I'm alone in this, but Haruka's popstar section was easily one of my favorite things in the Yakuza games so far period (well the gameplay aspect, the "story" for that section I didn't care much about due to things I can't say before hitting spoiler territory)
Not perfect though by any means. Random encounters are clocked up to 11 and I feel like I was getting them every 2 seconds. I literally could finish a fight, walk about 2 steps and be in another. It was incredibly frustrating and annoying around 1/3 in and it never lets up.
Game is also a LONG BOI. Longest one in the series so far (about 30 hours for me), and because of its length, you can sometimes feel the drag and just wanting things to speed up.
Still a much better experience than 3 and 4. Excited to play 6, but I need to play something a bit mindless first before I sink my teeth back in.
