Yakuza games are filled with content but I don't feel like they respect players time. They are usually very poorly paced. As was Like a Dragon. Really long cutscenes, that are filled with repetition about the story told so far and convoluted plot points. If you play just the main story the experience kinda bad. After a long cutscenes you get minimal gameplay, go to the next quest marker, watch a cutscene or enjoy enemy gauntlet. Rinse and repeat. Like A Dragon has also really bad leveling issue. I was trying to hurry to the end but I became underleveled pretty badly. Had to level ground for several hours. I thought we already were over that issue in rpg's. RGG games has preet6 darn good humour and likable characters so does this. But because of afore mentioned pacing issues I tend to drop off from RGG games pretty badly.
