To me this is the best Assassin's Creed because you actualy do Assassin things. Where others find the repetitiveness tedious I had a lot of fun perfecting the process with every new story mission. Also this is the only game where the present time sequences are actually interesting and create mystery. The controls are average but to me didn't cause too many problems.
