Tasked with exploring your solar system and boldly going where few have gone before seems like a pretty straightforward concept for an indie game to tackle. However, Outer Wilds delivers an incredible and immensely satisfying experience by combining a genuinely impressive exploration system with a solar system full of interesting and exotic planets to explore. The tie that binds this all together is the underlying mystery surrounding your slice of the universe, and what exactly keeps causing the Majora's Mask-esque time loops to keep occurring.

Without spoiling the plot of the game, it is safe to say that the journey you embark on in Outer Wilds is just as (if not more) impactful as what waits for you at the end. This game is truly a gem.
